In 2012, our church began the process of expanding its parking lot. The project marked our congregation's second largest capital project to date; second only to the construction of our church building in 1991. The work, which converted an adjacent wooded-lot into 50 additional parking spaces, finished early in 2014 and tripled the number of spaces available for our members and guests. Even though building a parking lot was a not-so-glamorous task, our members viewed it as an exciting step forward in our church's development, one that could not have been reached without serious planning and prayer.
The cost of expanding our parking lot was approximately $230,000. Through generous donations from members and visitors, by the end of July 2015 we had raised approximately $120,000. We were still left with a balance around $110,000.
Last Sunday, August 30, 2015, it was announced that a generous donation was given to help pay-off the remaining balance for the parking lot project. Thank you to those who have prayed for our congregation during this process and have supported it through a pledge or donation. We appreciate your recognition of what our congregation means to you and your family.
